Women Made Fullmetal is a zine celebrating the fantastic ladies from Fullmetal Alchemist. Originally run in 2019, the sequel hopes to be bigger and better!
Zine Specs
Digital + Physical Copies.
Full Color!
A5 Format with a 3 mm Bleed.
Zine is for charity with all profit going towards the Global Fund for Women
Zine is estimated to feature about 1 cover artist, 20 artists, 5 writers, and 5 merch artists, with a page count to be determined.
Copies will be available in both physical and digital A5 formats, with bundle rewards to be determined.
Every participant will receive a free copy of the digital zine. Best case scenario - everyone receives a full bundle free of charge!
You will receive an email upon acceptance, but otherwise all official communication will be done through Discord.
Portfolio Guidelines
Completed pieces with little to no WIPs in between.
Images with full backgrounds.
Primarily shows art or writing, no reblogs or personal posts in between what you’re supposed to focus on.
Other zine pieces are a bonus, but not necessary! Anyone is welcome to join this zine - regardless of experience.
While FMA characters are a bonus, they are not necessary!
AO3 (or other public fanfiction-publishing sites), Tumblr tags, Wix, and DeviantArt folders all are fine!
If your portfolio is inaccessible, you will be disqualified! Please check the permissions on your Google Drive, triple check your links, be careful!
If your portfolio is missing points on this list that’s fine! This is just a recommendation.

Hi I'm Ree and I’m the one overseeing the entire production. I’ve hosted the Bein’ Friends / Bein’ Foes Zines, the first Women Made Fullmetal, Shadowforce, Poke Prism Project, Kind Lie, Show Your Teeth, and EbonyandIvory! I manage a shop called Kitteatime, and have also worked as a graphic designer for local projects. I love the women in FMA so much, they're so well rounded and powerful in their own unique ways!

Hi, I'm Tanya! I'm a producer, artist, and writer based out of Austin, TX. I'm responsible for overseeing all aspects of organization and logistics for Women Made Fullmetal 2! I've produced multiple FMA zines for charity, including The One Is All Project and The Devil's Nest Zine. I also am working on Avaricious, a Fullmetal Alchemist fan-comic starring Greed. I guess you could say I'm inspired every day by Fullmetal Alchemist. I am so excited to be moderating on this project and to celebrate the badass women of the story who encouraged me to be a little more badass in my own life!

Hi! I’m Jules, and I’m the Graphic Designer for this project! I’m a double major (Illustration & Graphic Design) from Wisconsin, and I’ve been an illustrator in 10+ zines as well as a graphic design mod for 4 zines now, including this one! My favorite FMA women are Lan Fan, Lust, and Olivier Armstrong!

Hi! My name’s Katie and I’m a hobbyist writer from Texas. My job here at Women Made Fullmetal 2 is to bring on writers to contribute for the zine. I’ve participated myself in 10+ zines and am currently a writer mod for One Is All Project and the FMA Antag zine. I’ve been a general mod for other FMA projects as well, including the FMA Big Bang of 2020, FMA Secret Santa, and RoyAi Week. I’m very excited to be a part of this zine and to celebrate some of my favorite fictional women.

Hi! I’m Sarah and I’m a hobbyist artist from the Midwest. I’ll be handling shipping once this project is all put together! I’ve been a mod overseeing shipping and assisting in for two zines prior, and this will be my third FMA themed project for which I have been on the moderator team, the previous two being The Devil's Nest Zine and The One Is All Project! I’m honored to be a part of Women Made Fullmetal 2 - the women of Fullmetal Alchemist are some of the strongest female characters I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading in media, so this tribute to them is so well warranted.

Faq
Is there a theme?
Not exactly, the goal of the zine is to showcase how important the women are. While it’s a little broad, the women in FMA have effected the Elric brothers in even miniscule ways, and those instances alone may be used as a theme in itself.
Are non-women characters allowed?
As long as they aren't the focus of the piece, or taking away the focus from the fullmetal lady, then it's fine!
Is shipping allowed? What’s the rating of this zine?
Blatant PDA is not allowed, however allusions to certain ships or pairings are fine. The zine is SFW, as we hope to reach a wider audience!
